Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;font-size:12pt"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>This line layer includes streets that are part of the Bike Omaha system of signed bicycle wayfinding routes. The Bike Omaha system was intended to designate streets connecting major destinations in and around the downtown and midtown area in order to aid in navigation and help to direct bicyclists to relatively lower traffic streets or streets with existing bike lanes. The green wayfinding signs are designed to national standards in compliance with the MUTCD and based upon the Omaha Bicycle Wayfinding Manual developed in 2017. The signs include directional information, and some include distance information to key destinations. The first 32 miles of routes were installed in 2019, and approximately 5 additional miles of routes were installed in 2021 in conjunction with road diets on N 30th St and S 24th St. Signs were funded by Wellbeing Partners (formerly Live Well Omaha) with philanthropic support from the Peter Kiewit Foundation. Planning for the network was completed by Toole Design Group and final design of the signs themselves was done by the Planning Department, with review and installation completed by Public Works Traffic Division.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
